Iva Cruse

Mrs. Iva Mae Cruse, age 91, of Rome, GA formerly of Kentucky died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in a local hospital.



Mrs. Cruse was born in Larue County, KY, on December 5, 1918, the daughter of the late Sidney Brown and Ella Clopton Brown. She had lived most of her life in Larue County, KY prior to moving to Rome, GA. Mrs. Cruse served as pianist at the Benningfield Chapel for 50 years. In addition to her parent Mrs. Cruse was preceded in death by her husband, Curt Cruse and a brother, Kenneth Brown.



Survivors include a son Bobby Cruse; a daughter, Shelia Walk; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Benningfield Chapel in Magnolia, KY. Interment will follow in the Benningfield cemetery.



The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
