J. B. Lane

Mr. J. B. Lane, 86, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Kathy Cares Hospice.
Born February 27, 1926 in Lindale, Georgia, he was a son of the late J. B. Lane, Sr., and the late Arlie Mae Hammond Lane. Mr. Lane proudly served our country as a veteran of the United States Navy; he was of the Baptist Faith and attended Center Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louie Lane, and several other siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Fay Lane; daughter, Jennifer Rose-DeBusk and her husband Donnie of Hobart, Indiana; sons, Gary Lane of Carrollton, Alan Lane and his wife Louise of Cartersville, and Barry Lane and his wife, Dena, also of Cartersville; half-sister, Lena Parker of Sheffield, Alabama; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Dewey Atchley officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
