Jack Brindle

July 24, 1930 — January 5, 2009

Mr. Jack Horace Brindle, age 78, of Rome, GA, died Monday, January 5, 2009, in a local hospital following an illness of several months.



Mr. Brindle was born in Whitfield County, GA on July 24, 1930, the son of the late Boyd Brindle and Lois Bramlett Brindle. He retired from Inland Container. In addition to his parents Mr. Brindle was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Clements Brindle on January 8, 1999; two brothers; and a sister.



Survivors include a sister, Jeanne Hampton of Chattanooga, TN; a brother and sister-in-law, Chaney and Frances Clements; and a special friend, Betty Chumney of TN. Several nieces and nephew also survive. Also, numerous other close friends survive.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Joel Snider officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.



In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Rome building fund 100 East 4th Avenue Rome, GA 30161.
