James Boatman

James William Boatman passed away on July 15, 2022, in Cartersville, Georgia.
James was born in Portersville, Alabama on December 20, 1923.
Mr. Boatman was a Master Sergeant in the Army and proudly served in World War II. He received many awards and medals during his army career. After returning from the army, he was employed by the United States Military Academy at West Point as the Recreation Manager.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Johanna, and is survived by his daughter, Dorothy; brother, Kenneth (Celia); nephews, Kenneth and Wesley, and their families.
Mr. Boatman loved the outdoors, working in his shop, and spending time with his many special friends. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Inurnment for Mr. James William Boatman will be held on August 11, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in Georgia National Cemetery.
