James Bohannon

September 25, 1946 — May 6, 2009

James �Jimmy� Bohannon, 62, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at his residence. Born in Cobb County on September 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Virgil William Bohannon and the late Mildred Beatrice Wiley Bohannon. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Trammell, Donna Bohannon and Hilda Bohannon; and a brother, Bennie Lee Bohannon.



Jimmy had been the plant manager at Pandel Chemical for 23 years before his retirement. He was a member of The Church at Liberty Square and the Euhar1ee Seniors and could be seen with his �regulars� sitting on the porch at the Old Euharlee Mercantile. Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. All who knew him loved him.



Survivors include his wife, Ruby McGinnis Bohannon; his sons and daughters-in-law, James Russell and Sherry, Michael David and Penny, Michael Dewayne and Susie, Matthew Ryan, and Christopher Lee; his sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and Jack Luckhurst; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Shelbia Bohannon and Keith and Rhonda Bohannon; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



Memorial services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m., May 8, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Bill Crank and Rev. Jimmy O�Tinger officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Georgia Affiliate, Inc., One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
