James Chambers

Mr. James William Chambers, 86, of Rockmart passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at his residence. Born in Covington, Georgia, May 5, 1925, he was the son of the late Sam Pat Chambers and the late Jessie Mae Wade Chambers. Preceding him in death along with his parents is his wife of 64 years, Wilma Cornwell Chambers; and his brothers, Sam, Robert, Griffin and Carl Chambers.



Mr. Chambers attended Riverdale Assembly of God and was the former owner/operator of Chambers Garage.



He is survived by his step-son, Arnold Leachman; his brother, Roy Chambers; his sister, Glenda Fay Kirby; his grandchildren, Jimmy Leachman and Dana Leachman; and brother-in-law, Billy Cornwell.



A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
