James T. �Bunk� Dupree, Sr., 75, of Kingston passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Aug. 3, 1933 and was the son of the late Grover Dupree and the late Mattie Millsap Dupree. Mr. Dupree retired from Shaw Industries and was of the Holiness Faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, working and just piddling around. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Katherine Davenport Dupree; his brothers, Grover Dupree, Jr. and Howard Dupree; and his sister, Kathleen Hatfield.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Amber Dupree, James T. Dupree, Jr. and Harold Dupree all of Kingston; his brothers, Charles L. �Nub� Dupree of Kingston and Willie �Bill� Dupree of Calhoun; his sisters, Maggie Potts of Cartersville, Ela Matthews of Adairsville, Lela Heath of Kingston, and Ruby Nehl of Adairsville; and his grandchildren, Landon Wood, Jordan Dupree, Cassidy Dupree and Brylee Kate.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Doc Hatfield and Rev. Larry Silvers officiating. Burial will follow in Kingston Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers will be David Kirkland, Harold Dupree, James Blumenfeld, Steve Ghorley, Mark Dupree, Ronnie Blackmon, Eric Wise and Harold Kirkland. Danny Hardin and Cody Dupree will serve as honorary pallbearers. These gentlemen are asked to meet at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Friday at 1:15 p.m.
The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Thursday from 6 � 9 p.m.
