James Kirk

James W. �Buddy� Kirk Jr., 60, of Kennesaw passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Pine Mountain. Born July 18, 1948 in Marietta, he was the son of Helen Kirk Baker and the late James Walker Kirk Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jimmie Lou Kirk; his uncle, Hubert McLain; and his nephew, Joe Harrington.



Buddy was a veteran of the United States Navy having served on the USS Charles Adams during Viet Nam. He had been employed with Georgia Power for 32 years. Buddy also loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, and being on the beach.



Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joyce Kirk of Kennesaw; his daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Dave Wiggins of Acworth; his granddaughters, Danielle Wiggins, Delaney Wiggins, and Lindsey Wiggins; his mother, Helen Kirk Baker of Cartersville; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Bob Harris of Marietta and Judy and Dan Harrington of Pensacola, Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Barbara Kirk of Richmond, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 12 � 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Bryant Harris officiating.
