James Jack Lowe, 58, of Cartersville passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Born March 17, 1952 in Cartersville, he was the son of the late Jack Lowe, Jr. and the late Lucy Mae Harris Lowe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mae Cabe Lowe; his brothers, Michael Anthony Lowe and Andy Lowe; his sister, Rhonda Lowe; and his granddaughter, Destiny Scott.
James was employed by Academic Books and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a loving man who expressed his love to his friends and family. His grandchildren were the joy of his life.
James was not a perfect man, but he was a righteous man who loved to read his bible and lived out his faith daily. His motto was Faith, Hope, and Charity. I Corinthians 13 was how he chose to live his life.
Survivors include his mate, Yvonne Scott; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie Lowe Martin and Gene Martin, Tina Michelle Lowe McIntyre, and Natasha Danielle Lowe and Chris Reynolds; his grandchildren, Nikki Martin, Bodie Martin, Savannah Bohannon, Skylar Massey, Ezekiel Lowe (aka Mr. Lowe), Seth Allen, Lulu Allen, Cuyler D. Scott, Cheyenne Scott, Ryan Norris, and Derrick Norris, a special friend and mother of his children, Terry Russell; his brothers, J. Mar Harris, Larry S. Lowe, William �Snooky� Lowe, and Harvey �Buster� Lowe; and several other brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews who were loved dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with James' daughters officiating. Burial will follow in the White United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, and his grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Pallbearers are asked to be at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
