James Stevenson, Jr.

James �Jimmy� Weldon Stevenson Jr., 64, of Emerson, Georgia lost his battle with cancer on Friday April 2, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born October 16, 1945 in Camaguey, Cuba, he was a longtime resident of Emerson. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James Weldon Stevenson, Sr.



Jimmy was the owner and operator of Jim�s 2 Way Radio, and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a wonderful, giving, and loving man, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.



Survivors include his wife Jody Stevenson Emerson; his mother Elva Stevenson of Jacksonville, Florida; three sisters; three brothers; five children; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.



A memorial service to celebrate Jimmy�s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
