James White

Mr. James White, age 80, of Rome, GA, died Saturday, November 22, 2008, in a local hospital.



Mr. White was a native of Subligna, GA and born on February 8, 1928, the son of the late Jefferson Davis White and Connie Grigsby White. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. White served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple. He retired from General Electric after over thirty years of service.



Mr. White is survived by his wife, Willa Sue Wright White; two son and daughters-in-law, David and Julie White and Chris and Jenny White; five grandchildren, Katie Edenfield, Tara Blanton, Christopher White, Amy White, and Grady White; two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Miya; a sister, Myra Berry and a brother, Jerry White.



Memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Levan officiating.



The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church following the memorial service.
