Janice Annette Parker, 72, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Janice was born on July 3, 1952, to the late Ollen Cooper and Annie Wehunt Cooper. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joel "Bud" Parker; sister, Judy Mae Cooper.
Janice was a member of White Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed word search puzzles. She'll be best remembered by the way she loved and took care of her family. She respected and adored her husband and son. Her grandchildren were the bright spots in her life. She was fair, honest and truthful. Janice did not seek to be in the spotlight, but she loved deeply and served well. She loved big and when she was coupled with her husband, Bud, their love was even stronger. The strength of her character was profound and even in the darkest of moments she carried herself with love.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Brandi Parker; grandchildren, Joseph, Benjamin and Isaac Parker; brother, Jackie Cooper (Sherri); sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lockaby; special friend and cousin Judy Kelly; aunt, Nell McIntyre; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Billy Smith, Alan Smith, Zach Smith, Tyrus Cooper, David Adams, Joseph Parker and Benjamin Parker.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bill Lowery and Reverend Keith Willard. Burial will be at White Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 1:30pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
