Mrs. Janice Louise Van Waldick, 83, of Cartersville and formerly of Colorado, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born July 3, 1925 in Antwerp, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Cunningham and the late Nellie Murphy Cunningham. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Morris Van Waldick; and her daughter-in-law, Linda Van Waldick.
Mrs. Van Waldick grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She had worked at the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Facility in Colorado. After moving to Cartersville, she attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved her family and her cat, and she never met a stranger.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra and Roger Burau of Castle Rock, Colorado, Lisa and Rick Dewberry of Marietta, and Carol Kuhn of Cartersville; her sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Van Waldick Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho and David and Mary Van Waldick of Vista, California; her brother, Robert Cunningham of South Daytona, Florida; her grandchildren, Scott Burau, Dan Burau, Heather Van Waldick, Nicholas Dewberry, Don Van Waldick, III, Tommy Van Waldick, Jon Van Waldick, Sondra Van Waldick, Danielle Van Waldick, and Sarah Kuhn; and Sarah�s father, Wendel Kuhn.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Greg Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
