Janis Lee Hayes, 54, of Emerson, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008. Born in Pell City, Alabama on June 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Joe Lee and the late Lavelle Lee. Janis was a member of The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville, Georgia.
If we are measured by our parts, the measure of Janis was her heart. Her love for her children, grandchildren, family and friends charted the course for each day of her life. We will always love you, Nana. You are dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Cliff Hayes; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cari Hayes; her
granddaughter, Katy; her grandson, Houston; her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Dawn Hayes; her grandsons, Hunter and Tyler; her daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Mike Walker; her grandchildren, Erin Brown, Gage, Morgan and Cash; her sisters, Donna Kendrick and Kathy Parton; her brother, Eddy Lee; and many beloved family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m. with Dr. Joe Edwards officiating.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
