Jason Smith

Mr. Jason David Smith, 27, of 60 Windy Hill Rd., Cartersville passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at his residence. The son of David and Kathie Smith, he was born September 5, 1980 in Rome. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faye Ingram Potts and Harwell and Carniece Smith.

A 1999 graduate of Cass High, Jason was a cashier with Wal Mart and was of the Baptist faith. He was a very caring and kind person who was always considerate of others. Jason was proud of his family. He especially loved Alabama football.

Survivors include his parents, David and Kathie Smith; his sister, Kristi Smith; his grandfather, Edward Potts; his cousins, Darlene Abernathy and Vickie Wilkins; special friends, Alex and Alecia Esparza, Jeff Cooper, and Dan Hare; and lots of other friends.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Alex Esparza and Gary Woods officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Esparza, Jeff Cooper, Aaron Savoy, Grason Moss, Jason Ash, and Gary Woods. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.

The family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
