Jayden Johnson
April 11, 2010 — September 23, 2023
Jayden Lee Johnson, age 13, of Cartersville, Georgia, was welcomed into heaven as a superhero on Saturday, September 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Jayden was born on April 11, 2010 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to his loving and nurturing parents Kevin Lee Johnson and Jessica Marie Bonner.
Holding Jayden in heaven is his maternal grandfather Miller Bonner (PawPaw); his paternal grandmother Debra Cabe Johnson; his stepfather Kyle Steelman his maternal great-grandparents Marie Bonner, Oscar Bonner, and Patricia "Nana" Bonner; and his paternal great-grandparents Joanne Cabe, Ortel Cabe, Hubert Johnson, and Joyce Johnson.
Left here on earth to honor Jayden's fighting spirit are his parents Kevin Johnson (Caroline) and Jessica Bonner; his twin brother and best friend Hayden Johnson; his loving siblings Sadie Steelman, Averie Steelman, Angel Steelman, Tristan Steelman, and Natalie Steelman; his maternal grandmother Stacey Kelly; his paternal grandparents Ricky & Allison Johnson; his aunts Crissy Griffin (Shane), Casey Bonner, and Ashley Bonner (Andrew Alexander); his uncle Lee Hagerman; as well as numerous step-grandparents, great-aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family members, and a multitude of amazing friends who have all offered endless love and support to Jayden and his family.
Jayden had so many gifts and talents. He loved monster trucks and Legos and could build complex structures with ease, showing off an aptitude for engineering at an early age. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and going fishing with his PawPaw and he loved riding bikes and being outdoors. He had a reputation for being a little sneaky, always getting his twin brother Hayden into trouble, but always in a funny and playful way. He loved the beach and on his last beach trip with his dad and stepmom, he never stopped smiling, regardless of the battle he was fighting. He was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs, always rooting for the home team! He admired superheroes and through his fight became the strongest and bravest of them all. Because he never gave up his smile, never stopped having fun, and always maintained his beautiful and loving spirit, he did not lose his battle. Jayden's family and friends couldn't be prouder of his unwavering strength and resilience that led him not to defeat, but ultimate victory. Together through love and Christ, we are all Jayden Strong.
Jayden's family will receive friends for a short visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on October 14, 2023, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life honoring Jayden will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Chris Cabe and Mike Schroeder officiating.
