Mrs. Jayta M. Darby Shinall, 46, of Cartersville, went to be with Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Born August 24, 1969 in Marietta, she was a daughter of William Darby and the late Mae Elizabeth Crwaford Darby. Mrs. Shinall was a graduate of Cass High School and had been disabled for the last 12 years. Prior to her illness she worked as a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics and as an independent Mary Kay representative. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Selena Stone; and a niece, Alexandria Stone.
In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, Michael Shinall; children, Jacob Collins of Rydal, Deionna Whitener and her husband Kevin, also of Rydal; step-children, Candace Shinall and her husband Cecil and Roxanne Shinall and her husband Justin, all of Cartersville; brother, Adrian Darby and his wife Tyra of Adairsville; grandson, James Whitener; and step-grandchildren, Brianna Shinall, Kylee Shinall, and Adelyne Shinall.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at New Beginning Baptist Church with The Reverend Michael Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted, but the family suggests that those who wish may make donations to New Beginning Baptist Church, 380 Griffin Road, Cartersville, GA 30120, in memory of Mrs. Shinall.
