Jean Crowe

Mrs. Jean Haygood Crowe, 77, of Cartersville died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born September 9, 1936 in Chatsworth, the daughter of the late Wilburn Haygood and the late Ollie Defore Haygood. Jean was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching TV and was an animal lover. She was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber with 25 plus years of service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Crowe; a sister, Jimmie Lou Dutton and one brother, Ed Haygood.
Survivors include her children, Vera and Joe Lee of Cartersville and Deborah and Joey Hightower of Cartersville; her sister, Mildred Hudson of Chatsworth; her grandchildren, Amy and Josh Pittman, Jena Stringer, Shane Lee, Brandon Lee, and Dawson Lee; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Aiden and Alex Pittman.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
