Mrs. Jean T. Moore, 82, of Wellford, S.C. and Cartersville, entered God's Kingdom on Tuesday, Sept. 25, after an extended illness.
Jean was born June 14, 1930 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late G.P. "Tate" and Annie Tatum of Cartersville. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Jefferson and brother, Jimmy Tatum all of Cartersville; her daughter, Regina Goode; her grandson, Brian Howell of Spartanburg, S.C.; and a step-son, Richard Moore of Greenville, S.C.
Jean was a member of her home church, Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, George M. Moore of Wellford, S.C.; daughter, Paulette and Allen Holland; sons, Jerry and Libby Howard and Barry and Rhonda Howard all of Cartersville. Other survivors include a brother, Bill and Shirley Tatum; sisters, Sandra and Bob Crowder and Joan Bruce all of Cartersville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews; step children, Troy and Sara Moore of Greenville, S.C. and Albert and Karen Moore of Pine Mountain, and Linda Moore of Greenville S.C., and four step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren also survive.
A visitation will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Green officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Holland, Cameron Holland, Drew Holland, Kirk Howard, Doug Tatum and Harvey Jefferson.
