Mrs. Jean W. Trager, 78, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away July 2, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center after a brief illness. Born November 1, 1929 in Berwick, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Robert Owen Willoughby and the late Mildred Etta Smith Willoughby. Mrs. Trager was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard William Trager, Jr.
With her husband having served his career in the military, Mrs. Trager was actively involved in each of the communities of her husband�s duty assignments. In addition to being a homemaker, she encouraged and was involved in her sons� participation with Boy Scouts of America. Because of her level of commitment to B.S.A., Mrs. Trager was awarded the Silver Fawn Award. She was also of the Episcopalian faith and was a huge Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include her children, Leonard and Sue Trager, III of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert and Sheri Trager of Ocala, Florida, Eric and Vicky Trager of Thompson, Illinois, Diana and Ken Garrison of Cartersville, Georgia, and Michael and Joyce Trager of Villa Rica, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Donnie Smith of Dunbarton, New Hampshire and Bobbie and Don Patcheider of Summerfield, Florida.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 in Ft. Myer Chapel at Arlington National Cemetery. Mrs. Trager�s cremated remains will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans� Fund.
