Jeffery Max Mauldin

Jeffery Max Mauldin, born September 17, 1960, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, and Pop whose life was defined by the love he gave to others.

Jeff had a big heart and a generous spirit. He was always willing to help anyone in need. His kindness and genuine care for people left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community.

For 35 years, Jeff owned and operated Cody J’s, where he became a well-known and cherished part of the community. More than a business owner, he built lasting relationships with the people who came through his doors. Many of those connections grew into friendships and felt like family. His warmth and ability to make others feel welcome will be remembered by all who knew him.

Above all, Jeff’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Pop. He shared 29 years of marriage with his late wife, Cathy Mauldin, and her love and place in his life will always remain a part of his story. In his later years, he was blessed to share his life with his wife, Jan Mauldin.

Jeff’s family meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Jan Mauldin; his sons, Cody (Jennifer) Mauldin and Chase (Breanna) Mauldin and Tyler (Rachel) Hill; and his grandchildren, Avery, Anders, Mack, Graham, Jett and Brody; his father, Max Mauldin; his brother, Derick Mauldin (Melissa); and his sister, Dana Bruce (Jim).

He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Cathy Mauldin; his mother, Virginia Mauldin; and his sister, Tammy Mauldin.

Jeff leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. While his absence will be deeply felt, the impact he made on so many lives will not be forgotten.

He was truly one of a kind, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Jeff will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Euharlee Baptist Church on Friday, August 14, 2026 with Reverend Randy Postelle officiating. Burial will follow at Euharlee Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ty Abernathy, Josh Bruce, Jim Bruce, Bradley Gentry, Shane McPherson, and Nick Rogers.
