Jerry Ballard

Jerry M. Ballard, 74, of Cartersville passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on September 29, 1937 he was the son of the late Max L. Ballard and the late Lois Payne Ballard.



Jerry was employed at Thompson Weinman as a supervisor until the time of his retirement and later went on to work for John Lewis and assisted with all aspects of property management. He had a great love for his family, people, downtown Cartersville, and Cartersville High School Baseball.



Survivors include his wife, Retta Land Ballard of Cartersville; his daughter, Judy Forsyth (Travis) of Cartersville; his sons, Jerry �Buzz� Ballard and Dennis Ballard (April) both of Cartersville; his sisters, Grace Hatfield and Janie Lochridge both of Cartersville; his brothers, David Ballard of Cartersville and Everett Ballard of Rome; his grandchildren, Jason Forsyth, Taylor Ballard, Colbi Lee Ballard and Tyler Hays all of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.



Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Joe Land officiating.



The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. � 3:30 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
