Jerry Evans

Jerry Auston Evans, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 24, 1946, in Folsom, Georgia. He is the son of the late John Evans and Emily Evans. He is also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Evans; his grandson Rob Hill; brothers Roy Acuff Evans, Raymond Evans, and JS Evans; and sisters Bobbie White, Fanny Lou Hall, Octavio Clark, Nellie Jo Graham, and Frances Withrow.

Survivors include his children Willie Evans (Kristy), Tina Langley (Stoney), Rex Evans (Connie), Mary Evans (Roger Swift), and Tosha Evans; grandchildren Brianna Evans, Rex Evans Jr., Macayla Evans, Samantha Langley, Cynthia Engler, Mark Evans, Gracey Evans, Madison Evans, Lexie Hughes, and Laura Smith; great grandchildren Landon Priest, and Lainey Priest; brothers Fred Evans, Dow Evans, and Tony Evans.

Jerry was a very hard worker and had a tremendous work ethic. He loved his family, especially his grand kids and his great grand kids. He loved rasseling and western movies. Driving a truck was his passion.

A funeral service is scheduled on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Burnan Hall and Cari Hall officiating the service. The burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Full Bible Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pall bearers are Rex Evans Jr, Victor Latham, Stoney Langley, Rex Evans, Roger Swift, Caleb Hughes and Michael Cummings.
