June 11, 1943 — September 10, 2008

Mr. Jerry Holcombe Jr., 65, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Heartland Hospice House. Born June 11, 1943 in Canton, he was the son of Jessie Little Holcombe and the late Jerry Holcombe Sr.



Jerry loved NASCAR and used to race cars on the local dirt tracks. He enjoyed hunting and was a fishing fanatic. Jerry also enjoyed �window shopping� at Lowes and Home Depot. And he was a retired truck driver.



Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jane Holcombe of Cartersville; his children, Lamar and Tiffany Holcombe, Jessica Windiate, Jamie and Keith Black, and Joel Witt; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his mother, Jessie Holcombe of Holly Springs; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Thomas Roper of Holly Springs, Janice and Abe Hightower of Jasper, and Charlene and John Creekmur of Canton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Donnie Summey officiating.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Those who wish may send flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice House, 9 Medical Dr., Cartersville, GA 30121.
