Jerry Massey, 59, of Cartersville passed away, Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born October 21, 1951 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late Henry Luther Massey and the late Bernice Mable Temples Massey.
Jerry was a member of Peeples Valley Baptist Church. He worked in automotive most of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church, listening to gospel music, and reading.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Betty Williams; his daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Woolman, Windy and Daniel Arrington, Cindy and Glenn Costlow, and Khristie and Michael Staines; his grandchildren, Brandon Hardin, Nathaniel Arrington, Ben Costlow, and Allison and Trevor Staines; his siblings, Glenda Mulkey, Don Massey, and Bill Massey; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Peeples Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
