Jerry Rutland

Jerry Bud Rutland, 75, of Taylorsville passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome.
Born in Taylorsville on May 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Carl W. Rutland and the late Frances Cowart Rutland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Ferguson Rutland; his daughter, Jeri Suzanne Rutland; and his brother-in-law, Van Williams.
Jerry was employed by Bartow County in Maintenance until his retirement. He loved woodworking and building wooden toys and birdhouses. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his sons, Joseph Rutland (Christy) and Eddie Copeland (Summer); his grandchildren; Bailee Meadows (Dustin) and Kristen Rutland; his sisters, and Ann Edwards (Jack) and Sue Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 3071 Old Alabama Rd, Aragon with Reverend Brent Edwards officiating.
