Jesse H. Carroll, 100, of Cartersville died Friday, July 31, 2009 at Chulio Hills Nursing Home in Rome. Born in Piedmont, Alabama on February 3, 1909, he was the son of the late Robert M. Carroll and the late Mattie B. Daniel Carroll. Jesse was a retired mechanic and a member of Floyd Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Frances Davis Carroll.
Survivors include his step-son, Fred Morris and his wife, Brenda, of Cartersville; his step-daughter-in-law, Virginia Morris; his sons, Ricky and Hugh Carroll; his daughters, Imogene Lankford Carroll and Lori Carroll Everett; and his brother, Tommy Carroll, Sr. and his wife Betty.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009 in the Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Fisher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Survivors include his step-son, Fred Morris and his wife, Brenda, of Cartersville; his step-daughter-in-law, Virginia Morris; his sons, Ricky and Hugh Carroll; his daughters, Imogene Lankford Carroll and Lori Carroll Everett; and his brother, Tommy Carroll, Sr. and his wife Betty.
