Jesse Sanford

Mr. Jesse James Sanford, 53, of Cartersville, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on March 31, 1963 in Cartersville, Georgia, the son of Jesse Gordon Sanford and Shirley Ruth Lowe Sanford.
Mr. Sanford was the owner/operator of Sanford Lawn Service in Cartersville. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Sanford is preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Sanford, Mary Richey and Carol Commons; and his step brother David Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Laura G. Sanford of Cartersville; his daughter and son in law Lisa and Anthony Casey of Cartersville; his grandchildren, Dylan Casey, Alyssa Casey, Bryson Casey; and his step brother and his wife Eddie and Michelle Smith of Paulding; his father and step mother Jesse G. and Clara Sanford; his mother and step father Frank and Shirley Sanford.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Donnie Summey and Reverend Jack Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Pope, Dewayne Langley, Tim Jones, Walter Casey, Jonathan Crisp and Justin Whitener. Shawn Sanford will serve as honorary pallbearer.
