Jessie Brawner

Mrs. Jessie Mae Brawner, 90, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Maple Ridge Health Care Center. Born July 23, 1918 in Bartow County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Butler, Sr. and the late Mamie Strickland Butler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Brawner, Sr.; her children, Jackie Brawner, Raymond Brawner, Jo Ann Hale, and Harold Brawner, Sr.; her grandchildren, Angela Mae Casey, Dodie Lynn Brawner, and Al Casey; and her sisters, Inez Kimbrell, Ruby Lee Turner, and Beulah Mae Gravley.



Mrs. Brawner and her husband owned and operated Brawner�s Grocery. She was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed raising her family. She also enjoyed fishing whether the fish were biting or not. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.



Survivors include her children and their spouses, Robert and Phena Brawner, Mamie and Charles Casey, and Minnie and George Fann; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her brother, Buddy Butler; and several nieces and nephews.



Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 in Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
