Jewell Kiser

Jewell Lee Sexton Kiser, age 84, of Cartersville, died on Monday, October 02, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Gordon County on December 10, 1932, the daughter of the late McKinley Sexton and Viola Couch Sexton.
Mrs. Kiser was a born again Christian, a devoted homemaker and an awesome grandmother. She retired from At&T where she won several awards for her outstanding customer service and perfect attendance. She enjoyed cooking and placed in several cooking and canning competitions. In her spare time she worked in her garden and fed many from the harvest. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Kiser; her daughter, Neva Smith; her brothers, B.W. Sexton, L.V. Sexton and Max Sexton; her sisters, Dimple Rogers, Virginia Burch and Opal Wable.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Davis; her sons, Gary Broughton and David Broughton; her grandchildren, Buddy Davis, Jenny Bailey, Ernest Jackson, Tanner Broughton and Brittany Broughton; 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Norris Sexton and Herschel Sexton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Norris Sexton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from Noon – 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
