Jimmie Mcintyre

Jimmie Lamar McIntyre, age 62, of Taylorsville, Georgia, sadly passed away at home on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

Jimmie was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 2, 1961. He was the son of Nell McIntyre and the late Jerry McIntyre. He is also preceded in death by his great-great nephew Lucas Aubrey Morton, and his great niece Katie Leonard.

He is survived by his loving mother, Nell McIntyre; his sister Charlene King (Michael); and his nieces and nephews Anita Waits (Jesse), Dana Long (Wayne Angle), Danny Massey, Hannah Long (Aigars), Courtney Morton (Will), Ava Morton, Haley Leonard (Devin), Joey Long (Logan), Skylar Massey (Rachel), Athena Massey, Ariah Massey, Zeke Pruitt, and Jack Reynolds.
Jimmie loves Jesus and answered the call into the ministry in 1991. He enjoyed eating and listening to gospel music. His dog Ruby was the light of his life, and he loved his mama with all his heart. He enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held for Jimmie at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Pete Hight officiating. Burial will follow at Cassville Cemetery in Cartersville, Georgia. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Long, Skylar Massey, Aigars, Zeke Pruitt, Devin Woody, and Jesse Waits. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jack Reynolds.
