Jimmie Twilley

Mrs. Jimmie Dee Twilley, age 79, of Cartersville, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at her residence. Born in Brownsboro, Texas on Aug. 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter Barton and the late Lonie Newcomb Barton. She was employed for many years by Dunaway Drug Store, but spent her last few working years as a cook for the Fite Living Center. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.



Mrs. Twilley is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Iva-Nell Barton; and her brothers Doc, John and Bob Barton.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles L. Twilley; her sons, Larry Twilley of Cartersville; Charles and William Strong of Readding, California; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ann and Gary Babb of Cartersville; Sharon and Paul Martin of Cartersville; six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.



The family asked that those desiring may make a donation in the form of a meal to the homeless shelter on Porter Street.
