Jimmy Austin

Jimmy Buford �Bubba� Austin, Jr. passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008, in Cartersville. Bubba was born July 8, 1986 in Rome, son of the late Jimmy Buford Austin, and Betty Evans Austin. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents Bartow Austin, Vader Vandora Austin, and a niece Gabriela Ortiz. Bubba was of the Baptist faith and was serving his country through service in the U. S. Army Reserve. He attended McFall Baptist Church and Garden Lakes Baptist Church in Rome. He loved shooting pool and playing soccer and playing with his step children and nieces and nephews. Bubba was employed by Ryan�s Steakhouse in Cartersville.



He is survived by his wife, Christy Abernathy Austin, and four stepchildren Tiffany Abernathy, McKayle Carrol, Kevin Carmack and Ranger Carmack of Cartersville; his mother Betty Louise Austin of Cartersville; a sister and brother in law Cynthia and Aristeo Perez of Cartersville, brother and sister in law Mark and Sherry Evans of Rome; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Mae Evans of Rome; and Ophelia Austin of Rome.



Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008 in Oak Hill Cemetery with Reverend Tim Patnode officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside.
