Jimmy Wayne Dover, 71 of Cartersville, passed away on January 1, 2025 at Emory Hospital in Decatur. He was born in Cartersville on February 4, 1953 to the late John W. Dover and the late Bertha M. Dover. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Geraldine Cromer, Edna Abernathy, Elizabeth Dover, Mary Phillips, and Alice Lingerfelt; and two brothers, J.W. Dover and Larry Dover.
Jimmy was a simple man who loved animals, especially his dog, which he nicknamed "Termite" because she liked to eat everything. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. One of his favorite fishing spots was in Red Top Mountain; he loved to let Termite run and play and be near the water.
Survivors include his sister, Patricia Jones and his brother, Robert Jones, as well numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A few words and a prayer will be said at the conclusion of the visitation.
