Joanne Cabe

JoAnne Greeson Cabe was born on January 18th, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Berry Wilson Greeson and Maggie Aleen Smith Moore. JoAnne is also preceded in death by her late husband, Reverend Hubert Ortel Cabe. Joanne had a smile that was as bright as the morning sun. She was the most caring and giving person in the world, she always put others before herself. If someone was in need, mom was always willing to help in any way she could. Mom loved her family and cherished every moment that she spent with them. She liked nothing more than to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brothers, and sister to share stories of time past. Mom was a "born again Christian" and loved to share her testimony about how the lord saved her soul. Mom always put God first in her life. She loved Center Baptist Church and her Church family, they all meant so much to her. She is at rest now, no more pain, sorrow, or tears! Mom's final words to her family and to the lost would be Isaiah 55: 6 "seek ye the lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:". I hope to be with you again, to rejoice in heaven for ever and ever more. May God bless you all!

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Cabe Johnson; and brothers, Larry Wilson Greeson, and Kenneth Lamar Greeson.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Cabe Lowery, and Crystal Shantell Cabe; son, Christopher Ortel Cabe; brothers, Crawford Greeson, and Danny Edwin Greeson; sister, Brenda Carol Greeson Turner; grandchildren, Michael Shannon Snyder, Kevin Lee Johnson, Ashley Lauren Cabe, and Christopher Tyler Cabe; and great-grandchildren, Tristan Snyder, Kayla Snyder, Hayden Johnson, and Jaden Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Parnick
Jennings Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Center Baptist Church located at 80 McKaskey Creek Rd SE, Cartersville, GA 30121, with Reverend Darrell Bailey, Reverend Crawford Greeson, and Reverend Joey Phillips. Mrs. Cabe will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery located at 6847 Old 41 Hwy NW, Acworth, GA 30101.
