Mrs. JoAnne Rone, age 65, of 110 Lovell Lane, Rome, GA, died Thursday, September 20, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Rone was born in Logan County, IL, on March 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Gerald and Ann Kindred Miller. She had been a resident of Bloomington, IL for 19 years and was a resident of Rome and Floyd County for the past 12 years, moving here from Saint Charles, MO. She was a housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Rone was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, the Carol Terrell Sunday School Class and the Joymakers. She and her husband were ballroom dancers.
Mrs. Rone is survived by her husband, Herbert Rone; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Rone of Beaver Dam, KY, and Jimmy and Lisa Rone of Center Town, KY; two sisters, Geraldine (Russell) Leesman of Atlanta, IL, and Mary (Cliff) Bateman of Travelers Rest, SC; one brother, Tom (Gale) Miller of Atlanta, IL.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rone will be held this (Friday) afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Moses officiating. Mrs. Rone will be carried to Beaver Dam, KY, for a service and interment.
The family will receive friends this afternoon from 12:00 noon until 2 p.m. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home.
