Jody Wayne Collum, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on Sunday, February 24th, 1974, in Marietta, Georgia, Jody was a cherished resident of Cartersville, GA, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends.
Jody is survived by his devoted wife, Stephanie Collum, and his three loving daughters, Sarah, Ashley, and Gracey Collum. He was the proud grandfather of Legend Greene, Phoenix Greene, Knight Greene, and eagerly awaited the birth of his granddaughter. Jody shared a close bond with his brother, Chad Collum, and his wife Jessi, as well as his sister, Wendy Collum Turner, and her husband Josh. His love extended to his nieces and nephews, Piper Collum, Taylor Collum, Savannah Newport, Dawson Flowers, Liley Turner, Klyde Turner, Natalie Ferguson, James Ray, Christen Ray, and Grant Bingham. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Frances Bingham whom he loved and adored and talked to daily, and his brother and sister-in-law, David and Tammy Bingham.
Jody was predeceased by his parents, Jeffery Collum and Sandra Cline Collum, and his nephew, Chance Collum.
He was a man of few words but when he spoke you listened. He was a simple man but proud. A hard worker and never came home before dark. He was proudest of his 3 girls, and his grandkids. If you saw him he was sure to tell you all of their accomplishments. Jody loved his wife of 33 years, and he loved to travel with her. He found such happiness in the business he and Stephanie has built.
Jody's life was one of devotion to his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the warmth he brought to every room. His legacy will continue through the lives of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Richard Webster officiating at the same location, with burial afterward at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jody will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those he touched.
