Joe Hall

Mr. Joe Hall, 83, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Heartland Hospice House. Born November 2, 1924 in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Joe and Pearl Booker Hall. Joe was a retired cook with Western Steer and had worked at several of the Western Steer restaurants in the area. He was an avid golfer and played at the Elks Club in Calhoun and at Green Valley in Cartersville. Joe was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Hall, and his brother, Jack Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Hall; his daughter, Sandra Moore; his step-son, Ricky Green; his step-daughter, Teresa Bolton and her husband, Gerald; his brothers, Norris, Donald and David Hall; his sisters, Sue Lambert, Annie Kay Ring and Nancy Willoughby; his grandchildren, Megan and Taylor Moore; his step-grandchildren, Steven Bolton, Chris Bolton and Misty Price; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Sunset Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Otting, Tommy Miller, C.L. Price, Jerrell Price, Jimmy Howell, Lee Price, Johnny Stringer, and Ralph Cox. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
