Joe Jacobs

Mr. Joe L. Jacobs, 72, of Cartersville, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence. Born in Cartersville on July 9, 1940 he was the son of the late Willis Jacobs and the late Maudie Guyton Jacobs.
Mr. Jacobs retired from Shaw Industries after forty five years of employment as a machine mechanic. He was a devoted family man who loved to travel, garden and play golf.
Survivors include his wife of fifty one years, Helen Dean Jacobs of Cartersville; his daughters, Linda Jacobs Butler of Kingston and Janet Massey of Cartersville; his son, David Jacobs of Tampa, Florida; his brothers, Gene Jacobs of Cartersville and Wayne Jacobs of Cartersville; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Emerson Cemetery with the Reverend Scott Shepard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
