Joel David Crowe, 46, of 5964 Highway 20, Cartersville died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness. Born on March 15, 1961 in Rome, he was the son of Walter Earl and Annie Jones Crowe. Joel was self-employed in home construction and maintenance and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was a born-again Christian of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Jones; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Crowe; and his sister, Rhonda Ann Crowe.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie D. Crowe; his parents, Annie and Earl Crowe; his children, Joseph, Mary Beth and Bradley Crowe and their mother, Christy Marie Crossno; his sisters and brother-in-law, Nelda Lewis and Cynthia and Leslie Wellman; his brother, Michael Crowe; his nieces and nephews, Hans, Holle, Erik, and Evan Lewis, Chris, Ashley, and Brittney Wellman; his aunts and uncles, James and Margie Jones, Jack and Vera Worley and Bobbie Cantrell; his step-children, Amanda Hendrix and Heather Chambers; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Robert Condrey, Brent Mann, Kevin McCafferty, Les Wellman and Terry Hendrix. Pallbearers are requested to be at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. on Friday.
The family will receiving friends from 9 - 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2007 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
