Joey Holder

Joey Holder, 49, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on August 24, 2021.

Born on December 7, 1971, he was the son of the late Doyle Holder and the late Shirley Holder. He is preceded in death by his son, Justin Holder; brother, Gary Holder; sister, Tammy Holder; and a niece, Nikki Collum.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Holder; daughter Lindy Parker (Breanna); grandchildren, Scarlet Lancaster, Rachel Holder, and Avett Parker; brother, Robby Holder; sisters, Cathy Taylor and Shannon Jones; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joey was a loving, protective, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Joey was a Motorcross Racing Champion throughout his young adult life. He was also a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music, earning a certificate in the area of Guitar Performance. He went on to acquire his CDL license and had no citations or accidents during his trucking career. Joey was dearly loved and will forever be missed.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Taylor, Kris Holder, Alex Amos, Cody Amos, Austin Heaton, and John Ogle.

The family would like to thank Sacred Journey Hospice and nurses Hanna and Kay for the love and care given to Joey.
