Johanna Boatman

Mrs. Johanna Katie Boatman, age 90, died suddenly on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in East Germany on May 29, 1925.

Mrs. Boatman attended Northside United Methodist Church and was retired from the United States Government where she worked as a Recreation Assistant. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and cooking. She loved the outdoors and was an animal lover, especially her pet cat, Lori. Preceding her in death are her parents and one sister.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James W. Boatman and her daughter, Dorothy L. Boatman both of Cartersville; along with several nieces and nephews.

A private interment in Georgia National Cemetery will be held at a later time.
