John Adams

August 5, 1941 — November 6, 2007

John Emmett Adams, 66, of 14 Bramblewood Point SW, Cartersville passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Kokomo, Indiana on August 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Homer and Fannie Odell Adams. Formerly employed by Bay City Excavators, John was also a former race car driver and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Inez, Chubby and Marty; and his brothers, Earl, Barney and Jimmy.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Vince Adams and Angela Perkins of Cartersville and Troy Adams of Concord, California; his daughter, Monica Maria Oliverio of Cartersville; his sisters, Rose Morolli of Phoenix, Arizona, Lee Bowsier of Urbana, Ohio, Linda Roden of Dallas, Texas, and Freddie Kohler of Columbus, Georgia; and his brother, Gene Adams of Dahlonega, Georgia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
