John Collins

John Henry Collins, 79, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Toronto-Ontario, Canada on July 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Frederick Collins and the late Kate Elizabeth Beall. Mr. Collins was a member of The Church at Liberty Square and prior to retirement worked in the import and export business. He loved golf and hockey, and he was a history and airplane buff.



Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Agnes Collins of Cartersville; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Kim Collins of Acworth and Timothy and Lisa Collins of Kennesaw; his four grandchildren, Spencer, Tanner, Kelsi and Conner Collins; and a brother, James Collins of Oakville-Ontario, Canada.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009 at The Church at Liberty Square with Dr. Joe Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.
