John Dooley

Mr. John Robert Dooley age 67, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009, in a local hospital.



Mr. Dooley was born in Chattooga County, GA, on February 8, 1941 the son of the late John Victor Dooley and Mae McCrickard Dooley. He retired from Galey and Lord after over forty-three years of service. Mr. Dooley enjoyed working out at the gym, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Dooley was preceded in death by his grandchild D�Vonte' Buffington and his step-father, Woodrow Wilson Loulace.



Survivors include his wife, Joy Dooley; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Dooley and Scott and Faye Barron Dooley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shauna and Richard Stevens and Christina and Dennis Buffington; and grandchildren, Haley Dooley, Lindsey Dooley, Damien Gore, Jayland Buffington, Payton Stevens, and Abigil Stevens.



The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2009, from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Oaknoll Chapel Funeral Home.
