John Eaves

John Rufus "JR" Eaves, 72, of 31 Patton Street NW, Cartersville, died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Heartland Hospice House. Born in Bartow County, on June 14, 1935, he was the son of the late Rufus Eaves and the late Leola Brown Eaves. Before retiring, JR was a mechanic for Bartow County for many years. He was also preceded in death by his sister Helen Williamson.

He is survived by two daughters; Lisa Greenway, Cartersville, and Nancy Eaves, Cartersville; one son, Johnny R. Eaves, Cartersville; three sisters and brothers- in- law' Joann and Don Tidwell of Dallas, Marie and Larry Yother, of Cartersville, and Jane and Al Yother of Cartersville; one grandson Jammie Greenway; and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Reverend Keith Milner will officiate. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
