Mr. John Phillip Hampton, 94, of Cartersville, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his residence. Born in Orlando, Florida on January 11, 1920, he was the son of the
late John Patterson Hampton and the late Lovania Wichard.
Mr. Hampton was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy in the Phillipines and the South Pacific Theater.
Survivors include his daughter, Suzette Bentley of Cartersville; his sons, John Phillip Hampton of Virginia Beach and Gary E. Hampton of Fairbanks, AK;
five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Demas of Marietta.
No services have been planned at this time.
