John Jennings

John Harvey Jennings, 71, of White died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his residence. Born December 20, 1937 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late Howard Franklin Jennings and the late Lillie Mae Hart Jennings. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Ann Floyd Jennings, and his brother, Walter Jennings.



Harvey was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of White and the Cartersville Masonic Lodge.



Survivors include his daughters, Linda Caldwell and Charlotte Johnson, both of White; his son, John Harvey Jennings, Jr. of Rydal; his granddaughter, Jamie Fields; his grandsons, Bobby Jennings, Christopher Jennings, Tony Guyton, and Daniel Guyton; ten great-grandchildren; his brothers, Carl Jennings of White, and Garland Jennings of Rome; and his sister, Pauline Burkes of White.



Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Woffords Crossroads Cemetery with Rev. Lee Strickland officiating.



Serving as pallbearers will be John Jennings, Jr., Chris Jennings, Bobby Jennings, Philip Jennings, Daniel Guyton, and Daryl Bell. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Larry Jennings. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
