Mr. John Robert McCurdy, 76, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born July 24, 1936 in Blairsville, PA, he was a son of the late George McCurdy and the late Mary Mitchell McCurdy. Mr. McCurdy was retired from Sears as a District Sales Supervisor.
Survivors include his wife Michelle McCurdy of the home; daughters, Robin Dowling of Erie, PA, and Kathy Tracy of Northeast, PA; sons, John Robert McCurdy, Jr. of Northeast, PA, and Shane Robert McCurdy of Clinton, OK; sister, Elsie McDonald; 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
The family suggests that those who wish may make donations to the American Diabetes Association, 225 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30303 in memory of Mr. McCurdy.
