John Rampley

On the morning of December 7, 2016, John Rampley went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mr. Rampley was a native of Bartow County, born August 1, 1928 the son of the late John Rampley and Mary Hite Rampley. John always said he was a "sinner saved by grace" and his life reflected his love for Jesus. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Glenda Carol Rampley and his brothers, L.D. Rampley and George Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Louise Rampley; his children, Randall and Joan Rampley, Cathy and Byron Green, Karen and Mike Clark and Danny Rampley; his brother, Ronald and Sharon Smith of Dallas, Oregon; his grandchildren, William Rampley (Maddie), Matt Rampley, John Pope (Ginny), Ben Pope, Shelley Dalrymple (Allan), and Adam Clark; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Donnie Summey officiating. Interment will follow in the Emerson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
